Monster Hunter 4 (モンスターハンター4 Monsutā Hantā Fō) is an upcoming game produced by Capcom. It is the second game in the Monster Hunter series to be released on the Nintendo 3DS and is scheduled to be released on September 14, 2013 in Japan.
Monster Hunter 4 is different from its predecessors as it's strong emphasis on 3 dimensional movement, walls can now be climbed more fluidly and in any direction, and for the first time Hunters can grab onto monsters and attack them. Environments shown also appear to be larger than before. The monsters in this game are also terrain aware and will use the environment to their advantage. The game also features a traveling base camp that could be travelled freely. Underwater battling is removed. The game will have the most NPCs of any Monster Hunter game to date. The game will also have online multiplayer.[1] Monster Hunter 4's director, Kaname Fujioka has stated the game will have a larger focus on adventure and story progression than previous Monster Hunter titles.[2] As seen during the Capcom Summer Jam event, players are now able to attack whilst midair.
